This is the 8 colour Gay Pride Rainbow Flag, with the 2 additional stripes of Black & Brown. These 2 stripes were first added for Philadelphia Pride in 2017 and represent POC (People Of Colour) to show support for the racial discrimination they experienced on the gay scene.
This flag has been adopted at other worldwide pride festivals including Manchester Pride 2019 in a bid to “promote inclusion” in the region’s LGBT community, especially after a Stonewall report published in 2018 showed that 51% of BAME LGBT people have experienced racism within the gay community.
A polyester flag which has the side grommets (that's the term apparently!) to attach with rope to a flag pole. Perfect for dressing your house or for wearing at a gay pride parade, but wouldn't be suitable for hanging outside 365 days a year.
Made from water resistant polyester.
